Then Sofie and I plan the whole thing the way we'd plan our own: the route, not just one hotel; the rooms worth the upgrade; the table worth crossing town for. Tell us what you're thinking. If we're not the right people for it, we'll say so.
It's just the two of us, so we take on a handful of trips at a time. If we're full, we'll say so. We reply within a working day. The hotel pays us, not you: your rate is the same as booking direct, and the perks come on top.

What does a Fat Voyage hotel comparison show?
Both hotels’ Fat Score out of 20 and tier, then the same five dimensions scored side by side (service, rooms & design, location, dining and wellness) each with a note explaining what drove it. Below that: both editorial verdicts in full, the strengths and trade-offs of each property, the tags one holds and the other doesn’t, and where the two sit on the map. Every comparison follows the same structure, so two hotels are read against each other rather than against two different write-ups.
How do I compare two luxury hotels?
Open the builder on this page, search either slot by hotel, city or brand, and pick two. Once the first is chosen the second slot opens on the hotels worth comparing it against: same city first, then the same brand elsewhere, then properties scoring within a point. Or start from any of the 315 comparisons in the index on this page.
Which hotel wins a comparison?
Where one is the stronger stay overall, the page says so in its first sentence and again at the end, but it also names what the other one does better, because on this shortlist that is usually the real decision. Winners are decided on the score as printed, out of 20; where two land on the same number the page says they are even rather than inventing a gap.
Where do the comparison scores come from?
Each Fat Score is read from the trip reports in the most active luxury travel communities, critics’ reviews (Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Forbes Travel Guide and more) and verified guest reviews. What they wrote is weighted by how credible the writer is, how much detail they give, and how recently they stayed. Nothing is paid for, and no hotel can buy a placement or a higher score.
Can I compare hotels in different cities?
Yes. Any two hotels in the collection can be compared. Same-city pairs are the most useful because rates and expectations line up, which is why most published comparisons are same-city. Cross-city ones answer a different question: not which hotel, but which trip.
Can I compare more than two hotels at once?
Not on one page. A comparison is built for two hotels, because that is where a clear call is possible. To weigh a third, compare it with each of the other two: the picker at the top of this page builds any pair in the collection.
