Champagne Hospitality was founded by Denise Dupré and Mark Nunnelly, an American couple who also own the champagne house Leclerc Briant. In 2014 they bought the Royal Champagne at Champillon, once a post house where French kings stopped on their way to be crowned in Reims, and reopened it in 2018, largely rebuilt. The group also has Le Barthélemy on St Barts and Château la Commaraine, a 12th-century estate in Pommard that opened as a hotel in 2026.
