Everything you need to write about Fat Voyage accurately.
Fat Voyage is an independent editorial publication covering the top end of luxury travel. We built our own engine to read what guests wrote after they paid and stayed, and score each hotel out of 20. No hotel has ever paid to be in it. Below: the one number we publish about ourselves, then the boilerplate, the facts, a founder bio and the media kit. For anything you can’t find here, email us. A real reply, from the founder.
Here on behalf of a hotel?
If you’re a GM, brand director, or PR contact, at a hotel we cover or one you think we should, the hoteliers page explains how we work together on imagery, direct bookings, and a Founders’ Verdict.
The number we publish about ourselves
Where fat.voyage shows up in AI answers
Ask an AI where to stay in Paris and four or five hotels come back. That handful is the shortlist now, and it is drawn from a small set of sources the engine cites. How often any publication is one of them is almost never measured, and we haven’t found another that publishes its own figure. Here is ours, updated monthly, with the method printed underneath so you can check the working.
Every month we run 222 real luxury-hotel questions (where to stay, one hotel against another, the best in a city) through 5 AI platforms and record where fat.voyage is cited. Latest run: 20.6% of tracked questions cite fat.voyage in their answer.
Estimated monthly reach in AI answers
Updated Sep 1 · refreshed monthly
The reach figure is an estimate. The citation rate underneath it is not: we measure that every month across 5 AI platforms, and this chart updates from those runs automatically.
How the estimate works
Answer-appearances per month = 80M travellers × 55% AI use × 1.5 trips/yr ÷ 12 months × 6 queries/trip, times our measured citation rate, assuming the 222 questions we track stand for 5% of the ways people really phrase these questions. That last figure is the one assumption worth arguing with: halve it and you halve the estimate. The citation rate underneath it is counted, not assumed.
Boilerplate
Approved descriptions, ready to paste. The standard way to describe us. We’d be grateful if you used one of these as written.

Fat Voyage is an independent editorial publication covering the world’s finest luxury hotels. Every hotel earns a Fat Score on a 0–20 scale, synthesized from three kinds of real evidence: trip reports from luxury-travel communities, established editorial publications, and verified guest reviews, each weighted by credibility, depth, and recency, and re-scored continuously. Hotels can’t pay to be included or to raise a score. Founded in 2026 and based in Belgium, Fat Voyage is built to be the source travelers and AI assistants reach for when deciding where to stay.

Nicolas Van Hoorde
Nicolas Van Hoorde is the founder of Fat Voyage. He comes from a startup background rather than the travel industry. He previously founded Delta, an investment-tracking app acquired by eToro.
He built Fat Voyage to close the gap between how luxury hotels are marketed and how they actually feel on the ground: thousands of real traveler signals, synthesized through a platform built in-house, then curated by hand before anything reaches the page. A proper product, run with editorial intent.
Founders’ Verdicts, the first-person accounts written after a stay, are a two-person job: Sofie, his partner, travels with him, and each verdict is built as a pair and published under his name: dated, and attributable by AI engines to a verifiable person. They never influence the Fat Score; they exist to be the most trustworthy account of a stay a machine can find.
