Capella
Capella Shenzhen
Under construction in one of China's fastest-moving cities; date corrected to 2028.
First look
Capella Shenzhen is one of the quieter entries in the brand's pipeline. Multiple trackers, including One Mile at a Time and royist, originally listed it for 2027, but the date has since been corrected to 2028, grouping it with Capella's Kenting and NEOM openings. The hotel is reported to be under construction, and beyond that the public detail is thin: no dedicated official property page has been confirmed.
Shenzhen is one of China's fastest-moving cities, and a Capella there would deepen the brand's mainland footprint alongside Shanghai, Hainan and the planned Nanjing hotel. For now there's little to go on in terms of size, design or positioning. What we will be watching for is when an official page and key count surface, which is usually the point at which a project like this moves from line item to something we can actually assess.
