Opening Early 2026

Park Hyatt Phu Quoc

Park Hyatt's first resort in Vietnam

Phu Quoc, Vietnam

First look

Park Hyatt is opening its first resort in Vietnam, and it's going to Phu Quoc, the island off the country's southwest coast. The plan on paper is roughly 110 rooms alongside villa residences, which is a compact footprint for a beach resort and usually a sign the brand wants space to breathe rather than scale. Hyatt's newsroom and the property's own channels have it slated for the first half of 2026, though as of June 2026 it has not opened.

What we will be watching for is whether the resort reads as a genuine Park Hyatt or just a flag on a familiar island-resort template. Phu Quoc has filled up fast with big-name hotels over the past few years, so the bar for a quiet, design-led property is high. The villa residences are the detail worth tracking, since that mix tends to shape both the pricing and who actually ends up staying.
