The honest review of Bulgari Resort Dubai

I came for peace and quiet and that's exactly what I got, no city noise at all.

I visited for some alone time and the resort delivered total tranquility, with none of the noise you'd expect this close to the city. The lobby team, especially the women working there, were warm and made me feel welcome the whole time I was there. It was exactly the calm, comfortable atmosphere I was hoping for.

The reservations team gave me a rough time before I'd even checked in.

I called to confirm a two-night booking I'd already made online for a significant sum, and the agent I spoke with was unprofessional and dismissive despite me having all the details ready. It left me uneasy before I'd even arrived at the property. I'd hope the hotel looks into how that call was handled.

The new terrace breakfast spot was a lovely, relaxed way to spend a morning.

I tried the newly opened terrace at the café last week and the breakfast was delicious as always, with friendly and attentive staff. They've added an air-conditioned tent which is a smart touch for the summer heat. It's a genuinely nice place to slow down for a morning or afternoon.

One staff member made my day and others made it harder than it needed to be.

Ozzy was professional, friendly and patient throughout, and turned what could have been a frustrating process into a pleasant one. Some other staff I dealt with were far less cooperative and came across as unwelcoming. Ozzy stood out clearly for his kindness and the respect he showed, and I hope that gets recognized.

A manager was cold toward me in a way that felt targeted, right after being warm to other guests.

I used to come regularly for morning breakfasts and loved it, but a manager I dealt with this time was warm to other guests and noticeably cold toward me, with a clear shift in tone and body language. It left a bitter taste after what had been a favorite spot of mine. I think there's real work needed on staff training here.

The new Terrazza redesign turned an already-good breakfast spot into something even better.

This was already a favorite of mine and the redesign made it even more elegant and cozy. The breakfast menu is as good as ever and the service was excellent throughout. I loved the new crockery, it's a small touch but it made the whole thing feel more considered.

Everything from the rooms to the beach to the restaurants felt genuinely luxurious.

My stay combined elegant design with a peaceful atmosphere in a way that made every part of it feel special. The rooms were beautifully designed, the private beach was pristine, and dining across the resort was excellent. Staff consistently went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable.

Afternoon tea was a nice way to celebrate a birthday, though the food mix could improve.

The presentation was lovely and the price felt fair for what we got, around 550 AED for two with an extra charge per additional guest. I'd have liked a few more savory options since the spread leaned heavily toward dessert. The iced tea and coffee were excellent and we left with a small perfume gift, so overall it was worth trying.

The ocean-view room and spa treatments made this stay feel like a true escape.

Check-in was seamless and the friendly staff set the tone right away. My room had a stunning ocean view and the bed was extremely comfortable. The spa treatments were a real highlight, and the seafood restaurant served genuinely fresh catches alongside a private beach and infinity pool that made the whole stay feel worth it.

Even for a work meeting, the privacy and waterfront setting stood out immediately.

I was there for a client meeting rather than a leisure stay, and the service and privacy still impressed me. The waterfront setting reinforced why this is one of the strongest addresses in Dubai.

Of the three big Dubai hotels I know well, this is the one I'd pick for privacy.

I've been to this resort and the Mandarin Oriental many times, and while the MO edges it out on individual ratings, the privacy here is what puts it on top for me. It's not quite Aman-level seclusion, but it's the closest thing Dubai has to that. Jumeirah as a location is hard to beat if that's what you're after.

We celebrated a birthday at the Yacht Club and Hector made the whole afternoon.

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed, and the staff stayed attentive and professional the entire afternoon. Hector took great care of us and his wine recommendation was perfect for the celebration. The food and atmosphere exceeded what we expected and we're already planning to come back.

Beach service went downhill in the afternoon, but one server turned my day around.

I loved most of the property, the rooms and reception were excellent from the start. But breakfast service by the beach was slow, and after 2:30pm my requests for water and ice cream kept getting ignored, with staff citing being understaffed. Ayush was the exception. He noticed I was frustrated, fixed it immediately, and looked after me for the rest of my stay.

Four nights here felt like a proper escape, quiet and private the whole time.

We stayed four nights and it was beautiful from start to finish, calm and private and away from the busy parts of the city. Rooms were spacious and spotless with elegant but cozy design. What stood out most was the staff, who genuinely listened and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling transactional about it.

Great location and beach, but our room placement and maintenance issues were disappointing.

We booked a beach view room but got placed facing the staff area on the first floor instead. On top of that the lights flickered all night making it hard to sleep, and we lost water completely for a night. The $100 offered as compensation didn't feel proportionate to what a stay here should cost.
