Taj
Taj Wellington Mews, Al Marjan Island
Taj's first address in Ras Al Khaimah, on Al Marjan Island
First look
Taj's first address in Ras Al Khaimah lands on Al Marjan Island, the man-made stretch of coastline that has become the emirate's resort and entertainment frontier. The format is branded hotel apartments rather than a conventional hotel, with around 342 units reported (an earlier audit count put it at 336), developed alongside BNW Developments. Completion is slated for roughly the fourth quarter of 2027.
Hotel apartments are a different proposition from a flagship resort, leaning toward longer stays and self-contained living with Taj's service layered on top. As a developer-and-marketing project, it is not yet listed on the official Taj site, so the details we have come from the development side. What we will be watching for is how much genuine hotel-grade hospitality reaches the apartments, and whether the Al Marjan address delivers on the beachfront promise. We have not stayed, so this is anticipation.
Not yet scored. We publish a Fat Score only once a hotel is open and real guests have stayed and written about it — this is a first look, not a verdict.
