As a state debut, it gives Taj a foothold in a market it has never operated in, with the airport-adjacent location pointing at business and connecting travel.
A brownfield near an airport tends to land as a practical, full-service business hotel rather than a destination in its own right. The 2023 signing date and the lack of a confirmed opening mean the timeline has been slow. What we will be watching for is whether the project actually breaks ground and opens, and how Taj makes a first impression in a new state. We have not stayed, so this is anticipation rather than a verdict.
