A greenfield at this size tends to land as a full-service city hotel with the meeting space, dining and spa that corporate and event travel in the region expects. No opening date has been confirmed yet. What we will be watching for is how Taj positions this against its own deep Punjab portfolio without simply cannibalizing nearby properties, and whether the new build brings anything fresher than a standard business-hotel template.
