Taj
Taj Dharamshala
A 105-key brownfield reviving the historic White Haven Estate with Dhauladhar views
First look
Freshly signed in June 2026, Taj Dharamshala revives the historic White Haven Estate as a 105-key hotel with views over the Dhauladhar range. This is a brownfield project, meaning Taj is working with an existing heritage property rather than building from scratch, which gives the place a ready-made sense of history if the restoration is handled well.
At 105 keys this is a smaller, hill-station-scaled hotel, the kind of mountain-view property where the setting does much of the work. No opening date has been announced. What we will be watching for is how faithfully the White Haven Estate's character survives the conversion, and whether the Dhauladhar views are framed by the rooms and public spaces or merely available somewhere on site. We have not stayed, so this is anticipation, not a verdict.
Not yet scored. We publish a Fat Score only once a hotel is open and real guests have stayed and written about it — this is a first look, not a verdict.

Want us to get you in when it opens?
Nothing to book yet — rates usually load a few months out. We're Sofie and Nicolas; tell us roughly what you're after and we'll come back the moment Taj Dharamshala is bookable, with rates, what the rooms are actually like, and whether we'd go in the first season.
You'll be dealing with the two of us the whole way through, which is why we only take on a handful of trips at a time — if we're full, we'll say so. We reply by email, usually within one working day. The hotel pays us, not you: your rate is the same as booking direct, and the perks come on top.
