First look
Four Seasons Hotel Taipei is reported at around 260 keys with views toward Taipei 101, and it would be the brand’s first hotel in Taiwan when it opens in 2027. Entering a new market is the story here, in a city with a serious existing luxury scene, and the Taipei 101 sightline gives the rooms an obvious anchor. The scale, at roughly 260 keys, makes it a sizable city hotel rather than a boutique entry.
What we’ll be watching
Whether the RSHP tower translates on the inside. The architecture — a 180-metre, 31-storey glass tower designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners with Yabu Pushelberg on interiors — is a serious pairing, but vertical towers with panoramic curtain walls can feel more office-block lobby than hotel. We’ll be watching whether Yabu Pushelberg’s interior work gives it warmth that the exterior ambition doesn’t guarantee.
Whether the Chinese restaurant becomes a destination or stays a hotel restaurant. Taipei already has one of the best Chinese dining scenes in the world — Michelin-starred local institutions set the bar, and a hotel opening its first Chinese restaurant in this market has everything to prove. A signature concept that pulls Taipei residents in rather than just feeding guests would tell us something real about the property’s ambitions.
Whether it displaces the Mandarin Oriental and Shangri-La or just joins them. Both properties are well-established and well-regarded; Four Seasons arrives with no existing reputation in Taiwan, no loyal local clientele, and no track record to trade on. Being first in a new market is harder than entering a market where you’re already trusted — we’ll see whether the 260-key scale and Taipei 101 sightline are enough to pull business travel and leisure guests from properties that have held the top of the Taipei market for years.
Whether the executive club lounge is a genuine differentiator. Very few Four Seasons hotels offer a club lounge — it’s the format of a different era and a different tier. Its inclusion here is either a sharp read of what corporate Taipei demands, or it dates the hotel before it opens. We’ll be watching which.

When does Four Seasons Hotel Taipei open?
The hotel is expected to open in 2027, though some sources have reported a possible 2026 completion. The building topped out structurally after a January 2022 groundbreaking, and the project is actively progressing through fit-out — but no official opening date has been confirmed, so treat any year as reported rather than final.
Where is Four Seasons Hotel Taipei located?
The hotel sits in Taipei’s Xinyi District, directly opposite Taipei 101, at the heart of the city’s main commercial and luxury retail corridor. The 31-storey tower stands 180 metres tall and offers city and mountain views across most of its roughly 260 keys.
Is this Four Seasons’ first hotel in Taiwan?
Yes. Four Seasons Hotel Taipei would be the brand’s first property anywhere in Taiwan when it opens. The hotel is developed in partnership with Yuan Lih Group, a Taipei-based construction company that also built One Park Taipei.
How many rooms will it have, and who designed it?
The hotel is planned at approximately 260 rooms and suites. RSHP (Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners) designed the tower, working with local firm C.C. Jen Architects & Associates; Yabu Pushelberg handled the interiors. A small number of rooms will have access to an executive club lounge, which is rare across Four Seasons’ global portfolio.
What restaurants and facilities are planned?
The hotel is expected to include a high-end Chinese restaurant, a specialty restaurant, an all-day dining restaurant, a destination bar, a pool bar, and a lobby lounge — six dining and bar venues in total. Facilities reported include an outdoor pool, spa, fitness centre, grand ballroom, and event spaces. The building targets LEED Silver and Taiwan Green Building Gold certification.
