Bulgari Hotel Miami Beach

The first Bulgari hotel in the US, inside a restored 1950s Modernist building

Miami Beach, United States

First look

Bulgari's first hotel in the United States is headed for Miami Beach, at 100 21st Street, inside a restored 1950s Modernist building. The plan calls for around 100 rooms, most of them suites, alongside an outdoor pool, a spa, and dining by Chef Niko Romito — the chef whose kitchens already anchor much of the Bulgari portfolio. Putting the brand inside a mid-century restoration rather than a new tower is the detail we find most interesting; it ties the property to the city's architectural identity instead of importing a generic luxury shell.

The opening date is genuinely unsettled. Bulgari's own press article is headlined "To open in 2028," while the destinations navigation and more recent press point to 2029, so roughly 2028-2029 is the honest read. What we'll be watching for is how the restoration handles the jump from a 1950s footprint to a suite-heavy luxury program, and whether Romito's dining lands as a real draw or just a recognizable name. Until then, it's anticipation, not a verdict.
