Whether Asaya earns its place in a city hotel. The spa concept with eight treatment rooms and indoor and outdoor pools is a real commitment for an urban property of this size. In a resort it’s table stakes; in a weekday business city like Xi’an, the question is whether enough guests use it to justify the footprint — or whether it becomes a cost centre dressed up as a selling point.
