Rosewood
Rosewood Shenzhen
Around 300 rooms plus 50 residences on Shennan Boulevard, Shenzhen
First look
Rosewood is adding a large city hotel in Shenzhen, around 300 rooms plus 50 residences on Shennan Boulevard, the central artery of one of China's fastest-moving cities. It is one of several Chinese openings in the brand's pipeline, and at this scale it's squarely a big-city business-and-leisure property rather than a boutique.
The target is 2026, which puts it among Rosewood's nearer-term Chinese projects. A 300-room hotel lives or dies on how well it handles its size, so the question with a property this big is consistency across all those keys. What we'll be watching for is whether the design and service hold up at scale, and whether 2026 lands on schedule given how many China openings the brand is juggling at once.
Not yet scored. We publish a Fat Score only once a hotel is open and real guests have stayed and written about it — this is a first look, not a verdict.
