The honest review of One&Only Royal Mirage

My daycation covered pool, spa, and afternoon tea, and every part of it was handled with real care.

The pool team kept my water topped up and reapplied sunscreen without being asked, and food orders came out fast. I did a hammam treatment with Zineb, who was patient and clearly knew what she was doing. When a window table opened up for afternoon tea, staff came and found me rather than waiting for me to ask.

I've been getting pedicures at the Bastien studio here for over fifteen years and nowhere else compares.

The podiatrists know exactly what they're doing, and the setting is calm enough that it never feels like a rushed salon appointment. Aya and Joey run the studio and make every visit feel like an occasion. Once you've had a treatment here, a regular salon just doesn't cut it anymore.

Dinner at Eauzone was unforgettable, and the setting alone would have been enough.

Raditya took care of our table all night, attentive without ever being pushy, and made the evening feel like an event rather than just dinner out. The setting over the water added to it. I'd go back for the room alone, but the service sealed it.

I got an iced coffee order mixed up on my beach day, but the team more than made up for it.

Vivek and Ashim turned the whole day around after the mix-up, and Thisara's service at the bar was excellent too. Left as a genuinely happy mum by the end of it. Already looking forward to coming back.

My spa day here was easily one of the most relaxing I've had, from the welcome to the treatment itself.

The facilities were beautiful, calm, and kept immaculately. My therapist was clearly experienced and gave me full attention throughout. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Dubai who wants a proper reset.

I'd expected the rooms to feel dated based on what I'd heard beforehand, but the Arabian styling actually made them feel more luxurious, not less. We had dinner at the sister property on the Palm, and the boat transfer over made the whole evening feel like part of the experience rather than just logistics.

The staff and the pool were excellent, but the food didn't match that across the whole property.

The Arabian Court breakfast buffet impressed me, but the Palace side's version fell short of it. Dinner buffet didn't feel worth what we paid, and the pool bar underwhelmed. I also noticed cleanliness wasn't as sharp as I'd expect.

I first stayed at the residences fifteen years ago, and coming back with kids this time, it was just as good.

We stayed in the Arabian Court in two connected rooms with the children, and the breakfast was easily top class. The Asian-themed restaurant on property surprised me, and the beach access straight from the pool made the whole trip easy with kids. Secluded, quiet, away from the rest of Dubai. We'll be back.

The little summer touches added up: complimentary sunscreen, sunglasses cleaning, ice cream by the pool. The Rotisserie's menu was a genuine highlight, well-presented and well-priced for what it was. The pool team, including Buddima, Tarindu, Raditya, Ayoub, and Thisara, made the days by the water genuinely relaxing rather than just comfortable.

Sanduni handled our booking and made the whole process effortless, and the hotel itself lived up to it once we arrived.

Staff were consistently kind, especially with our daughter, who needed refrigerated medication. Reception kept it safe in their own staff fridge without any fuss. The pools were spotless, the water slide was a huge hit, and it added up to a proper family holiday.

My birthday stay had some lovely touches, but one moment with the Kids Club left me frustrated.

Staff arranged early check-in, took family photos, and put together a full kids' kit that my daughter loved. Breakfast was good, though I'd have liked more variety. The one letdown: my daughter and her nanny waited over ten minutes outside in the heat for a golf cart to the Kids Club, and reception said little could be done even though no other children were there at the time.

The private beach here is unlike anything else I've seen in Dubai, a long stretch of powdery white sand that never feels crowded.

The view stretches out toward Palm Jumeirah and the Marina skyline, and beach staff set up loungers and hand out ice water and face mists without being asked. Each of the three pool zones has its own layout and mood, and the main lagoon-style pool with the Arabian arches is genuinely striking. I'm an Emirates Platinum member and this is one of our regular stops.

Three nights here left us wishing we'd booked three weeks, and I'm someone who's Diamond status at other chains.

Booking the adults-only pool was simple thanks to their recommendations. Every part of it felt genuinely looked after, more than we've had anywhere else.
