Aman Miami Beach
A restoration of the historic Versailles building, paired with a Kengo Kuma tower
First look
Aman Miami Beach is reported for 2027, built around a restoration of the historic Versailles building in the Faena District. Alongside the hotel, a new residential tower designed by Kengo Kuma is part of the project. On paper this is the brand pairing an old Miami Beach landmark with new architecture rather than starting from a blank slate.
Restorations are where the interesting tension lives, and this one sits in a stretch of Miami Beach that has changed fast. What we will be watching for is whether the Versailles building reads as genuinely preserved or merely referenced, and how the Kuma tower relates to it. Until it opens, this is anticipation, not a verdict.
