Taj
Taj Downtown Seef, Manama
City-side half of Taj's Bahrain debut, a ~200-room hotel in Downtown Seef
First look
This is the urban counterpart to Taj's Hamala resort, a roughly 200-room hotel in Downtown Seef, one of Manama's business and shopping districts. Together the two signings give Taj its first foothold in Bahrain, splitting the brand between a beachfront resort and a city hotel.
A Downtown Seef location points squarely at business travelers and city-break visitors who want to be near the commercial core rather than out by the water. No opening date has been announced. What we will be watching for is how the city hotel differentiates itself in a Manama market already well stocked with international flags, and whether the dual-property approach lets Taj capture both ends of a trip. We have not stayed, so this is anticipation, not a verdict.
Not yet scored. We publish a Fat Score only once a hotel is open and real guests have stayed and written about it — this is a first look, not a verdict.
