Six Senses Comporta sits on the brand’s ‘and beyond’ pipeline, in the quiet, pine-and-rice-paddy coastal area south of Lisbon that has become a discreet luxury destination. Residences are already being marketed, while the hotel has no firm open date.
Comporta’s appeal is its low-key, low-built character, which any new resort risks eroding. We have not stayed, so this is anticipation rather than a verdict, but what we will be watching for is whether the project respects the area’s understated style or tips it toward the polish Comporta has so far avoided.
