Rosewood
Rosewood Red Sea
On Shura Island within Red Sea Global's flagship development, 149 rooms, suites and residences
First look
Rosewood is opening on Shura Island, the centerpiece of Red Sea Global's vast development on Saudi Arabia's coast, with 149 rooms, suites and residences. It is the second Saudi project in Rosewood's pipeline tied to a giga-development, sitting alongside the AMAALA resort, and underlines how concentrated the brand's growth has become in the kingdom.
No firm opening date has been published, so this sits firmly in the long-lead column for now. Shura Island's appeal rests entirely on the wider Red Sea destination delivering its reefs, lagoons and connections, which makes the surrounding rollout the thing to track. What we'll be watching for is a confirmed date and concrete signs the island is ready, before we form any view of the hotel itself.
Not yet scored. We publish a Fat Score only once a hotel is open and real guests have stayed and written about it — this is a first look, not a verdict.
