Rosewood
Rosewood Barbuda
50 suites plus 35 residences across 85 acres in Barbuda, developed with Murbee Resorts
First look
Rosewood is heading to Barbuda, the quieter half of Antigua and Barbuda, with a low-density resort: 50 suites and 35 residences spread over 85 acres, developed with Murbee Resorts. Barbuda has stayed largely off the luxury map, so this is a genuine first move into territory more familiar names have skipped.
The opening is slated for 2028. Barbuda's appeal is its emptiness, and the obvious question with any branded resort here is whether the scale stays light enough to keep that intact. At roughly one suite-or-residence per acre, the numbers at least point the right way. What we'll be watching for is whether the build respects what makes the island worth the trip, and whether 2028 holds for a project still some years out.
