The rooms are well-designed and the Italian restaurant is genuinely good, but the experience is uneven once you leave the lobby. Another had a beach server ignore repeated requests for water and ice cream because the section was short-staffed. A birthday dinner at the Yacht Club got five-star treatment from a server named Hector on the same week someone else got dismissed on the phone trying to confirm a booking. The good staff are very good and get thanked by name constantly, but the gaps show up right when you'd expect the price tag to paper over them. The gym is also a known weak point next to what the Mandarin Oriental offers down the road, so anyone training daily should factor that in.

Book it for the privacy, the beach, and a genuinely calm few days that most Dubai resorts can't offer at any price. The setting alone does most of the work, and when the staff show up (which is most of the time) it's a proper luxury stay. If you want a resort that runs like clockwork on every shift, that's a fair reason to look elsewhere; if you want the quietest few days on the water in the city, this is still the one to book.

This isn't the Four Seasons Dubai from the brochure. There's no beach, no sprawling grounds, just a rooftop pool tucked into a financial-district skyline and a footprint reviewers themselves call boutique-sized. What you're actually paying for is the most convenient business address in the city, and the staff mostly deliver on the Four Seasons name: Shawki at the pool hands out sunscreen and a tour that turns skeptics into pool regulars, Mubashar tracked down a forgotten laundry bag days after a guest had checked out. One traveller who's booked Dubai hotels since 2004 calls it flatly the best business hotel in town, a category call, not a knock on the brand's beach property down the road.

It isn't spotless. One detailed account describes a pool food order that took over an hour, met by a manager who rolled his eyes and disputed the timeline instead of fixing it. A couple of guests separately ran into muddled deposit information at check-in, and the lobby's minimum spend on a 50 AED coffee has annoyed more than one person just trying to sit for half an hour. The wellness side is genuinely modest too: a small gym and a pleasant rooftop pool, not a resort-scale spa or grounds, which is exactly why past guests bring up Four Seasons Jumeirah Beach when a proper spa and grounds matter more than the address.

None of that should stop you booking it for what it's actually for.
