Four Seasons Resort Nevis

Charlestown, St Kitts & Nevis

Four Seasons Nevis runs 30-40% below Four Seasons Anguilla or Rosewood Little Dix Bay for what's recognizably the same brand promise, and most people who make the boat-and-plane trek say the savings hold up. The setting does a lot of the work on its own: low-rise casitas strung along the coast, Nevis Peak behind the golf course, monkeys on the fairways, and a transfer from St. Kitts that guests keep calling the best part of the whole trip before they've even checked in. The staff are the other half of it: a concierge tracked a lost beach bag to a different island and had it back in two hours, a server remembered a guest by name and made her feel like a regular, a director quietly arranged a birthday surprise down to the room decor. Where it gets real is the buildings. Mold in showers, peeling finishes, and exposed nails on the dock show up in stays as recent as this spring, alongside pool and cabana service that several guests describe as slow to the point of being ignored, including one seven-hour pool visit where nobody checked in at all. Renovations are said to be planned, but right now you're paying Four Seasons rates for rooms that repeat Caribbean travelers rank behind Anguilla, and dining is genuinely mixed: breakfast and Mangos land well, but the rest of the on-property food gets called the weak link often enough that regulars just go off-property for dinner. This is a family hotel first: the splash pad, multiple kids' pools, and monkey golf-cart tours win over anyone under 10 more than they win over couples chasing polish. Worth booking for the setting, the people, and the price if you can live with a resort mid-refresh. Book it for the staff and the backdrop.
