Fat Score
The Verdict
Four Seasons Bosphorus delivers on the promise of its stunning waterfront location, with breathtaking views across the strait and immediate proximity to Karakoy's vibrant dining scene. The property feels grand and palace-like, with impressive public spaces and art installations that create genuine wow moments upon arrival. However, the experience doesn't quite match the visual splendor — service lacks the intuitive anticipation expected at this price point, with multiple guests reporting communication barriers and inconsistent attention. The dining is solid but not destination-worthy, and while the spa facilities are comprehensive, they don't elevate the stay beyond the competition. It's a beautiful hotel in an unbeatable location, but Peninsula Istanbul now offers a more polished Four Seasons-caliber experience on the same stretch of water.

What People Say
I wouldn't stay at any of the Bosphorus properties — they're too far from the interesting sites that make Istanbul special.
For Istanbul, location is everything, and all the Bosphorus hotels including Four Seasons are just too removed from what you actually want to see and do. You end up spending so much time in transit to get to Sultanahmet, the Grand Bazaar, and all the historic sites that define the city. Peninsula in Karakoy is much better positioned — you get waterfront views but you're still connected to the energy of the city.
The hotel is breathtakingly beautiful with spacious, luxurious rooms and incredible Bosphorus views, but the service feels inconsistent.
I've stayed in many hotels around the world, but the architecture and setting here is truly spectacular — nothing compares to waking up to those Bosphorus views. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the public spaces feel genuinely palatial. However, the service doesn't quite match the visual grandeur. Some staff members are wonderful, but others seem less engaged, and there were several small service lapses that stood out at this price point.
The breakfast buffet display is too far from tables and the male waiters are neither friendly nor efficient, which disappoints.
While the hotel itself is beautiful with amazing facilities, and the front desk team is exceptional, the breakfast service was a real letdown. The buffet setup is poorly designed with food stations too far from the seating area, and the selection felt very average for this level of hotel. What really bothered me was how unfriendly and inefficient the male breakfast waiters were — completely different from the amazing, friendly service we got at the spa and pool areas.
The drinks menu inspired by famous artworks was creative and delicious, with breathtaking Bosphorus views of passing yachts.
We had such a unique dining experience here — the cocktail menu inspired by famous paintings was genuinely creative and you could taste the artistry in every glass. I ordered the Van Gogh cocktail since he's one of my favorite artists. The setting is absolutely magical with front-row Bosphorus views, and we even watched a yacht pull up to collect a guest right from the restaurant. The service was exceptional with warm, attentive staff, though the food was hit-or-miss.
I've stayed here five times and honestly can't get enough — the staff have become like family and everything is always immaculate.
This is my fifth stay here with both kids, and every single experience has been absolutely pleasant. The staff genuinely feel like family now, and I love how seamless everything is — from the fuss-free airport pickup where we're greeted the moment we walk off the plane, to the immaculate condition of everything throughout the property. The energy of this place just makes you feel so good. I could honestly go on and on about how incredible this hotel is.
