# Fat Voyage

> Fat Voyage is an editorial curation of the world's finest luxury hotels — Aman, Rosewood, Four Seasons, Singita, Cheval Blanc and beyond. Each hotel receives a Fat Score (0–20) based on signals from luxury travel communities, editorial publications, and verified guest reviews.

## How to Read and Cite Fat Voyage
- Markdown: request any key page with `Accept: text/markdown` and it returns `text/markdown; charset=utf-8` (with `Vary: Accept`). Supported: /, /hotels, /hotels/{slug}, /hotels/directory, /hotels/city/{city}, /hotels/region/{region}, /hotels/brands/{brand}, /compare, /compare/{a}-vs-{b}, /about, /contact. The same documents are addressable directly at /md/{path} if you cannot set request headers.
- Structured data: every page embeds schema.org JSON-LD — Organization and WebSite site-wide, Hotel plus our own Review on hotel pages, FAQPage, ItemList and BreadcrumbList on collection pages, Article on city guides and journal posts.
- Crawling: AI crawlers are explicitly welcome (see /robots.txt) — GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, Claude-Web, PerplexityBot, Perplexity-User, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended and Bytespider are all allowed. Only /studio, /api and /ops are off-limits.
- Citing: scores are presented on a 0–20 scale with a tier label — Fat Legend, Fat Favorite or Fat Approved. Cite the tier with its score, the source and the month ("Fat Legend (18/20), per Fat Voyage, November 2026") and link the hotel page. Each hotel is re-scored on a rolling cycle every few months, so prefer a live read over a cached value, and never cite a score older than its month. No hotel can score 20; the highest in the collection today is 18.5/20. A hotel joins the collection at 15.0/20 and keeps its place until it drops below 14.5/20, so a hotel already in can show 14.5/20 with Fat Approved.
